Sutter County supervisors are slated to consider a $33,400 leased-asset agreement with Citibot, Inc. that would add an AI chatbot and automated phone services to the Clerk-Recorder’s website and phone system, according to the board’s April 14 agenda summary.

The item also calls for a budget adjustment in the Recorder budget, including increases in capital assets and services-and-supplies accounts, with the offset coming from the County Recorder Upgrade Fee Fund, the agenda says. The contract is listed as pending under BT-2610000301.

The agenda summary does not say whether supervisors approved the item. It also does not explain when the service would launch, what calls or web requests the chatbot would handle, or how the county would measure performance.

The Citibot proposal is one of several operational items on the April 14 consent calendar, which also includes a livestock-wildlife services agreement, insurance actions involving PRISM, a substance-abuse treatment contract extension, and a request to set a code-enforcement study session later in the month.
