Sutter County’s Health and Welfare Committee is set to consider accepting a $600,000 California Department of Health Care Services award tied to the state’s Providing Access and Transforming Health Supports Justice Involved Round 4 program, according to the May 19 agenda.
The agenda summary says the funds are described as capacity-building money. A staff report summary says the sheriff would be authorized to execute the terms and conditions and related documents for the item, subject to County Counsel review and approval as to legal form, the packet shows.
The packet does not spell out how the county would use the money locally, and the agenda summary alone does not show final committee action. The item appears alongside other behavioral health contract matters on the same May 19 committee agenda.
