Sutter County supervisors will review a package of Development Services items at the April 23 Public Works/Support Services Committee meeting, including a 2026 Natomas Basin Mitigation Fee update, a proposed cut in a reimbursement to the Sutter Cemetery District, a sharp increase in the special-events zoning clearance fee and a new annual agreement with the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation.
The agenda notice says the committee will hold a public hearing on updating the Natomas Basin Mitigation Fee for 2026 for development authorized under the Natomas Basin Habitat Conservation Plan.
It also proposes reducing a reimbursement to the Sutter Cemetery District from $11,410 to $3,800 for Rezone / General Plan Amendment Application Project U23-0020.
Another item would revise the zoning clearance fee for special events from $54.62 to $561 under Chapter 420 of the county code.
The agenda also asks the committee to authorize the Development Services director or a designee to execute a memorandum of agreement with Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation for development services at an annual cost of $52,000.
The agenda summary does not show whether the committee approved, amended or rejected any of the items. It also does not include staff explanations for the fee changes or the contract terms beyond the annual cost.
