The Yuba City Unified Governing Board’s Oct. 27 agenda schedules action on a proposed revision to Administrative Regulation 5127, titled “Graduation Ceremonies and Activities,” along with a second reading of proposed revisions to district board policies, administrative regulations, board bylaws and exhibits.
The policy package was listed for a first reading on the board’s Oct. 13 agenda, making the Oct. 27 item the next scheduled step in the process. The Oct. 27 agenda places both matters under its action section.
The agendas do not identify the substantive changes to AR 5127 or the broader policy package. They also do not establish whether the board adopted either item, provide a motion or vote tally, or explain which schools, students or graduation practices could be affected.
The district’s Oct. 27 agenda listed the open session for 7 p.m. at the board room, 425 Plumas Blvd., Suite 200, in Yuba City, with viewing available through the district’s YouTube channel. Meeting minutes, the final policy documents and any recorded discussion or vote would be needed to determine the outcome and effect of the proposed changes.
