The Sutter County Planning Commission gave final local approval June 17 to Lennar’s use permit for an amenity center at Lakeside at Sutter Pointe Phase 1, a support facility tied to the planned Latitude Margaritaville community.
According to the June 17 agenda packet, the project is designated Project U26-0010 and would include an 8,245-square-foot restaurant and bar, a 10,400-square-foot fitness center, two pools, an indoor entertainment venue and an outdoor plaza for concerts and events. Staff said the use is consistent with the Sutter Pointe Specific Plan and supported by an addendum to the previously certified environmental impact report.
The minutes summary and meeting minutes both record approval of the project at the June 17 meeting, though the materials provided do not include the final vote tally or any dissent if there was one. The planning packet says the amenity center would be built on Lot 3 of Lakeside at Sutter Pointe Phase 1, near Riego Road and Natomas Road.
The agenda materials also show the commission’s conditions of approval were modified before the project was approved. Lennar Homes of California, LLC is listed as the applicant and owner, and Jack Hepworth represented the company at the meeting as project manager for the Margaritaville project.
