Live Oak City Council on May 6 authorized submission of the city’s fiscal year 2021-22 Transportation Development Act claim to the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, a request that staff said would total $444,006 after a $13,732 SACOG deduction.
Finance Director Ethan Gutierrez told the council the money is restricted to transportation uses. According to the meeting packet and staff discussion, the city could use the funds to reimburse work on Nevada Street and N Street, which staff said is under contract, and to help match grants for future Larkin Road and Broadway preservation work.
The packet also said Live Oak still has about $2.87 million in unclaimed TDA balances held by SACOG, suggesting the city may return to the funding stream in later budget or project decisions.
