Sutter County’s Health and Welfare Committee on April 7 considered recommending Board approval of a $100,000 grant agreement with Partnership HealthPlan of California to support community health assessment and community health improvement plan work.

According to the staff report, the agreement would run from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028 and fund CHA/CHIP development, tracking and implementation activities. The report says the Public Health Branch would use the money to support CHIP priorities and related work, including staff positions and supplies for community meetings.

The packet says the grant has no impact on the county General Fund because the necessary appropriations are already included in the adopted Public Health budget. The recommended action also authorizes the Health and Human Services director, or a designee, to sign the agreement and any County Counsel-approved amendments.

The materials reviewed show a committee recommendation, not a recorded final Board of Supervisors vote.
